People are generally great here. You’ll never be able to avoid all bad apples. Salary is alright, people keep saying it’s decent but not class leading. Equinor in general seems to be afraid to put too much money into people and inventory. So PCs are expensive but rubbish, computer screen that are older than the graduates and interns. Cheapest keyboard and mouse available for free seating desks. Leaders are surface level nice and inviting. But once there is an issue it will take time to get things moving through the heavy machinery. Building a carrier is said to be build in such a way that you move up. But from spoken experience of others it seems only some are presented these options. You will have to move office to move up. Work life balance is there. But from my own experience I get messages at every hour of the day. Some are urgent, some can wait. Home office is looked down upon, and working anything other than 8-16 is seen as unusual. It would be a great place to work if the computer systems and tools were better. Positives are the people, cantina and office building (free parking, free gym, swim team, social events).

Probably the best place to work in Harstad. Great management locally and in the company in general, great compensation and work-life balance.
